InterCerve, Inc. is an information technology company founded in 1997 in the beautiful Lake Norman area just north of Charlotte, NC, and
has demonstrated success starting and running both service
and product based organizations. Today, InterCerve is the parent company of
SQL Sentry, Inc.
The company began in 1997 by offering custom development services to support e-business applications, and
in 1999 they augmented their service solution with a successful hosting business.
The hosting business grew each year by concentrating a highly skilled team on Microsoft-centric technologies, until 2006 when the business was acquired
by Peak 10.
InterCerve's initial product offering, nTarget, was launched in 1999 as
hosting and development customers explored email marketing
as a viable communications medium. The company leveraged
their development and engineering expertise to establish
nTarget as an industry leading solution. nTarget employed a SaaS (software as a service) model to deliver their email marketing application,
in which customers managed their contacts, delivered promotions, and tracked the results. The email marketing business
grew each year through personalized service, custom integrated solutions, and superior deliverability until 2008 when the business was acquired by
Blue Sky Factory.
In 2004, InterCerve launched SQL Sentry as their second product-based
subsidiary in response to the ever expanding job streams
that large hosting organizations faced when managing
database servers. The company developed a visual interface
and reliable notification system so that database
administrators could isolate and solve schedule performance
issues. The software quickly evolved into the
enterprise-level software application,
SQL Sentry Event Manager®. In 2008, SQL Sentry introduced their second
software offering,
SQL Sentry Performance Advisor®, which
provides unparalleled insight, awareness and control over
